INSPIRATION

The first perfume originates in Istanbul, the Eastern Gate, with a note of Black Pepper, the magic of bazaars, homesickness, and the delight of holy places. The perfume takes shape within its blend. The notes, initially intimate, transform into the threefold essence of the perfume: base, heart, and head. Memories still head eastward, towards a door where the spiritual world felt the need to go, the door where the gaze is bitter and spiced. Lands, like men, offer their care to time, in prayer and in the ritual that extends from the hand to the body. I journey within myself, love of time; the blend is essence, resinous breath. The scent flows, escaping from me; now it's desire, tomorrow is memory. Passage and nostalgia. "My soul overflows; when I speak with the words of these places, I feel the bark of my heart vibrate, and no earthly adjectives are needed, only its perfume."
